This week’s Tribal Update from Latma, the Hebrew, language media satire website I edit needs a bit of explanation for foreign audiences.
The first gag, with John Indenial, Obama’s advisor for reality perception is self-explanatory.
The second gag is a promo. It is a spoof on Israel Channel 2’s newest drama series “Hatufim” or “Kidnapped.” The plot revolves around recently freed Israeli hostages who were held in captivity for 15 years. In our version, the Hebrew word “Hatufim” is replaced with the word “Shtufim,” or “Brainwashed.”
Some of the newsbriefs are a bit of inside baseball – or basketball — as the case may be.
At any rate, enjoy!

The Secretary of State has condemned Israel for Insulting The United States of America. This level of diplomatic language is only used when the condemnor intends to declare War.
This means that just as Japanese Americans were placed in concentration camps by FDR, so will BHO emulate his hero, FDR, and place Jewish Americans in similar camps.
Already anti-Semitism can be seen in the attacks on Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and certain international financial institutions.
The time has come to keep the pledge “never again”.
We can sleep better knowing that the President is getting good advice.
Fantastic. Quick, clever and right on the money every time. MAXIM!
Its idiotic and embarassing to name Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs as victims of anti-semitism when they are in fact causes of anti-semitism. These two firms engaged in outright fraud, influence peddling and various forms of market manipulation to enrich themselves and their friends in government. They screwed not only the American taxpayer but in some cases, their own clients.. The fact that they happen to be run by Jews doesn’t insulate them from charges of misconduct. Crying anti-semitism is the last refuge of Jewish scoundrels. Ask Bernie Madoff.
Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” features a catchy title. It has an idea of bravery mixed confidently. You’ll find nothing Pollyanna about this. I will most likely not support every part he tells, but he’s our president, as well as for me, he inspires confidence. Which can do more for a region than any volume of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I was a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity is just not over. I’ve come across the quips of those who don’t believe Obama can make it. But step back a moment. Would anyone have most of us fail simply to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they didn’t vote? Trying to keep our priorities straight, let’s work together with our president and build our future.
