Hi friends. Sorry I was away for the past couple of weeks. If you scroll down to the photo from Ft. Leavenworth, you’ll understand that it was due to important issues pertaining to Israel’s national demographic security….
Anyway, I’m back more or less. And what follows are two columns that came out this week – the first from the Jewish Press and the second from the Jerusalem Post.
I hope and trust that you didn’t miss me too much!

I hope you had twins, twice the fun !
Good – nobody translates you into Swedish as much as I do!
I wished you had a position where people HAD to listen more to you, but – maybe it is important to succeed anyway.

Heh! Now this is a round about way of announcing a birth.
Welcome back and mazel tov.
Pic? What pic? Where? I wanna see!
Mazal Tov Caroline!
MazalTov Caroline! I wondered, but thought it impertinent to ask – and am so happy for you.

Caroline,
I did miss you! I am grateful to hear that you were on vacation. I hope shalom permeated that precious time.
On July 20th, I wrote Prime Minister Netanyahu, in part: “As I thought about the pressure that the US is putting on you concerning concessions at every turn, this Scripture came to mind: Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Obama spent his childhood years in a Muslim school in Indonesia. I believe that, should you agree to one concession, he will expect you to agree to more and more. It will not end. Nor can you necessarily trust what he says, I am sad (as an American citizen) to say.
Stand firm.”
Today (Aug. 20th) I forwarded this note to him, and referenced your August 21 column.
May the Holy One of Israel [continue to] bless you and your family and send blessing and prosperity on all the work of your hands.
Shalom,
Lynne
