…and sushi as a metaphor for Bibi.
In Israel as in the US, the Left is running a concerted campaign to force the government to accept thousand of illegal aliens, mainly from Africa. This week’s Tribal Update from Latma, the Hebrew-language website I edit presents the media campaign.
We also present the media’s response to testimony presented by Netanyahu and Barak before the Turkel Commission — the investigative body the Obama administration forced Israel to form – to investigate the state’s handling of the Turkish-Hamas terror flotilla.

Shavuah tov Caroline. Your satire speaks the truth. One of the biggest issues in the US as in Israel is that illegal aliens are willing to take the jobs that Americans and Israels feel are beneath them. Yes, I do agree that some work very hard. On the other hand, most are a drain on the taxpayer including me who work equally hard for our money and fund the various welfare programs to which these people feel an entitlement. It is a serious problem with no easy solutions as long as the left and the so-called “well meaning” constantly attack us with words like bigoted, racist, prejudiced and the like.
Regarding the investigation into the terrorist flotilla it is abundantly clear. As long as the Obamanation and his henchmen are in the White House there will be no fair dealings with Israel. It is time that Israeli leaders realize this and take matters into their own hands. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
I am a supporter for Latma but I have absolutely no idea what message you were trying to get across in the item about the deportation, comparison to Nazis and the filming from the side.
Messages need to be simpler
@supporter – the segment about deportation is a take-off on the new news – news as art, news as emotion, news as serious fluff. We used to think of news as facts with some opinion tossed into the mix. Now we have “newscasters” as emotionmasters, marinated in the “artsy” manipulation, not only of facts and words, of rhythms, rhymes, repetitions, pauses for effect, but now, also in camera angles, cuts, fashion and even make-up, the whole effect, evoking the 1950’s and the beat (beatnik) generation.
@Caroline – there are segments that fly right over my head too, but please don’t change Latma. I really appreciate the English subtitles, but I don’t at all feel a need for English actors! I love hearing the Hebrew.
