The day before President Bush arrives in Israel, onejerusalem, a great organization dedicated to protecting the unity of Israel's capital city is organizing an important demonstration to protect the city from partition. Here's the information from the onejerusalem.org website:

One Jerusalem: Human Chain Around Jerusalem
[01. 3.2008]
  • On the day before President Bush begins his visit to Israel, One Jerusalem is organizing a massive human chain around the walls of the Old City.
  • The Human Chain is an expression of our firm support for a united Jerusalem.
  • The Human Chain is grassroots opposition to Prime Minister Olmert's declaration that Jerusalem should be divided.
  • The Jewish people rejecting the defeatism of the Olmert government.
  • We are meeting on Tuesday, January 8, 2:30 PM at the Jaffa Gate. At 4 PM, the assembled will pledge their allegiance to protect Jerusalem.
  • In Israel, people interested in joining should call 1-800-20-20.

I'll try to be there and I urge everyone who can participate to come and bring your friends and family.

Israelis may be too apathetic to drive Ehud Olmert from office but at the very least they can say he does not speak for them on Jerusalem. Its a commentary on the times when Jerusalem is no longer a part of the national consensus. No Israeli politician once used to dare to speak Olmert did in his New Year’s Eve interview. If he wasn’t Prime Minister, his opinion wouldn’t matter. So its up to people in Israel to say that Olmert has no power to give up the Jewish patrimony and no Jewish leader has that power at any time in history. Period.

Israel must demonstrate to the world that is has no intention of dividing Jerusalem. Now is the time for all Israeli’s to declare their seriousness of keeping a united Jerusalem by attending the demonstration.

Have you thought of a message,a sign that you want Emperor Bush to read that you will hold up proudly for him to see ?
“”Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, the Crusades, the blood libels, the expulsions, the pogroms, the Inquisition, the Holocaust “”
    Stan;
You left out the USA and Herr Bush and his Road Map final solution.
It’s interesting that so many like you Stan were so easliy deceived by your ‘Christian ‘ Bush and stood by him for so long.
This last satanic attack on Israel which you ignore was not by a Haman or Hitler like man of power who spewed hatred of Jews ,but a more diabolically devious and clever ,a cunning enemy who feigned love and support for Israel .
One who by peace is successfully destroying many Jews of Israel.
The one who you stood by while castigating me and throwing me under the bus for attempting to warn you and other Christian’s.
The pride of your heart has blinded you Stan and it’s late in the Bush game for you to warn others about this EVIL MAN ,this WOLF who successfully put on the costume of a gentle smooth talking sheep to snare Israel and seduce the dumb sheep as yourself and many others in a position which could have made a difference early on.

Bush didn’t listen to reason on an independent Kosovo, to which it would have been a lot easier to say “No!” to than dividing Jerusalem, which nearly the whole world wants. So, yes, we should protest, but that won’t change his mind. In fact, he will probaly, like Pharaoh, only more stubbornly support what will be America’s undoing.
