The Israeli media sported banner headlines this morning proclaiming that VIce President Joe Biden’s goal during his visit here this week will be to force Prime MInister Netanyahu to stand down on Iran.

I just spent the evening at Netnayhu’s father, Prof. Benzion Netanyahu’s 100th birthday party. Prof. Netanyahu ended the evening with a short address in which he stated that he is certain that Israel will stand up to Iran and win. The Prime Minister very ostentatiously went over his father’s speech with him before he gave it and walked him up and down the steps to the stage at the Begin Center where the event was held.

I certainly emerged from the evening with a strengthened belief that our leader will not bow to the Obama administration.

When it comes to stopping Iran from becoming nuclear-armed, Israel will not be pushed around. This is a black and white issue, where the Prime Minister will not bend, even if he tells VP Biden what he wants to hear.

Caroline, first of all the audacity of the Obama administration to tell Israel to stand down to Iran and to send a knucklehead to deliver the message.
First of all Iran has made numerous threats to wipe Israel off the map and they are not idle threats, they did not threaten the U.S.
Israel needs to take any and all necessary measures to prevent Iran from carrying out his insane mission.
Send Joe home with a note “Nuts”.

When you next see Bentsion please I have a question – his book on the Spanish Inquisition – well, it’s amazing, the man is a genius historian.
But why does he mention nothing, not a single word about the Evangelical Christians who were wiped out by the inquisition at the same time? The congregations of Sevilla, Leon etc. were wiped out to the last child. Spain was plunged into several hundred years of darkest Roman Catholic monopoly, along with its American colonies as a result.
The Jews and Evangelicals were considered allies, they were interchanging knowledge eg linguistic, but the whole thing was snuffed in the bud through systematic extermination.

The wrong Netanyahu is Prime Minister.
Bibi talks big at Auschwitz about the IDF defending Jews worldwide but has no comment about the Turkish Gestapo entering a synagogue in Istanbul this past Shabbos and demanding everybody present their IDs.

    Thanks. I really appreciate you.
US demands a State like Iran on the West Bank/Gaza! True or False? Why:
The US (government, not people) policy in Iran: Keep the dictators (that parade as religious) at all cost (same policy since Carter “stabbed the Shaw in the back in 1979)! Why? “nice Long lasting War and sell lots of weapons” (c 1991 Getty delivered to every member of congress on this war and the battle tactics to be used against us)
The “don’t ask don’t tell” going away is the way the “Government” tells you: “can you believe it, can you believe it” will be followed immediately by the “DRAFT”; no exemptions except practicing clergy this time boys and girls! Obumer!

It may be that the evangelicals in Spain didn’t leave behind much documentary evidence for an Historian to peruse, when they were snuffed out. The Roman Catholics had complete control of their mainstream media and their Blackshirts were most thorough in burning any heretical writings so their Gestapo could wipe out the small Protestant settlements and hardly leave a trace. Nothing ever really changes and a certain Judenrat government must envy the Catholic control over that situation.

I agree with Caroline about Biden. His visit is just a statement to the world that the US is behind Israel at this point. However, I believe that what the Obama administration wants is to leverage the 2 state solution against the US support for Israel regarding Iran.
The Obama administration believes that if they openly support Israel in this (by Biden just showing up), then they can basically save face to the world if a 2 state solution is not completed. I believe they hope to pressure Israel into this because of their promise to Israel in backing them against Iran.
I believe they think that Iran will possibly back down without military confrontation if Israel concedes to a 2 state solution.
They are doing this in a last hope, because the US is in no position to get involved in another war.
They don’t want Israel to militarily strike Iran because this would be worse than the US taking a military stance against Iran and would inflame the whole middle east– they believe. And they would still have to get militarily involved but things would much worse.
After reading the full history of the 6 day war, I believe it is a mistake for Israel to ever move for a 2 state solution, even if Fatah were to get their act together. Look what happened in Gaza — Hammas took over. Israel would be in an extremely bad position if a 2 state solution was completed and even secure for a few years. A terrorist group could easily take over the Palestinian state and Israel could easily loose. This would be a great mistake. I think Netanyahu knows this and is not going to concede to 2 “separate” states, and is holding out to see what the US is going to do in regards to Iran… the closer it gets to “officially” having the bomb.
I think the US’s main concern is that Iran is backed by Russia and China in addition to any arab states that will join the fray.
The way things are going now internationally, if Israel attacks Iran without US consent, I believe the world could place stricter sanctions on Israel than on Iran and it will loose US support (at least until the next election). I think that if the US were in a stronger position economically, things would be different. The PM is playing his cards wisely. In polka, you don’t give up your hand, even to your own….You play to WIN.

Who said this: “US Vice President Joseph Biden’s job is about to stop being easy. Indeed, it is about to become impossible.”
Caroline could not have been more right. Joe B began his first day in Israel all smiles with vacuous utterances of support for the Jewish state. Within hours, however, the smile disappeared and the true Joe B began spouting condemnations and criticisims of Eretz Yisrael. Why? Because Eli Yishai had the temerity to announce during Joe B’s happy visit the planned construction of new apartments for young families in a neighborhood Joe B thinks should be Judenrein.
It’s better that the mask came off and all could see that Joe B and BHO really want to undermine Israel, not support it.

The wrong Netanyahu has just deeply bowed to the Obama Administration which was deeply offended that some construction was routinely bureaucratically approved after a 3 year wait in Ramat Schlomo. We all know that any area under Arab souvreignty would be made Judenrein even East Jerusalem where Jews have lived for 3000 years except for the Arab ethnic cleansing and occupation between 1949 and 1967. The United States by its silence under many administrations has approved of this expulsion and now Biden in no uncertain terms has supported what again would result in another expulsion and occupation. The United States by its silence still approves of Jews being expelled from holy sites that have been descecrated by the Arabs such as the Cave of Michpeleh and Shimon HaTzeddek’s Tomb and neither does the United States disapprove of the anti-semitic rantings by the Turkish Hitler. The wrong Netanyahu remains silent about this also.

Can anyone tell me why we haven’t seen Caroline in the Jerusalem Post recently? The level of commentary in that paper doesn’t seem the same without her.

As the Obama administration flails about to find some policy, some initiative, indeed, anything even resembling a positive accomplishment to hang it’s hat on, we Israeli’s get served a Joe Biden clown act which ends up being more disappointing than funny.
The supposed purpose of the Biden visit was I assume to announce to all and sundry that the Israelis and the Palestinians were about to start indirectly negotiating about, well, negotiating. And even that rather pitiful event has now been either rejected outright by the Palestinians, or at least so ridiculed and criticized by them as to be indefinitely delayed.
I will also assume and I am being generous here, that Bozo Biden came to reassure Israel about the Obama administration’s intention to prevent Iran from becoming nuclear armed. First of all, I for one do not believe that anyone, even someone so inept as Barack Obama, would trust Joe Biden with such an important task, sure Obama might let Joe serve coffee and donuts maybe, or organize a birthday party for the Obama girls, but nothing significant like trying to convince Israel that Obama is serious about Iran. Even the American Ambassador here would be taken more seriously by the government than Joe Biden.
Now if Barack Obama himself had stepped off Air Force One at ben Gurion, then I would take this visit more seriously, even though at the end of the day even an Obama visit would have amounted to nothing, just like Biden’s did.
Except that perhaps Bibi wouldn’t have let Eli Yishai drop his new housing units in East Jerusalem fireworks as he did with Biden to show Obama and Rahm Emmanuel just how deeply we Israelis hold them in contempt and directly illustrate how little influence Obama enjoys here or for that matter anywhere.

I am very fearful that the US will stage black op faux “tereorist” nuelar ekslozhen in TA (they could just enter the city’s marina on a yaoght easily on a clear suunny day) to prevent its anti-Iranian action. If Israeli leadership really wants to attack, they should never show it, instead playing it as weaklings, agreeing on everything with the US treasonous elites currently in power. I also notice that in English and French Mabhouh is pronounced “Mabu” (just type it in Google search box).

    Caroline,
Thank you for this very enlightening and informative article. It has become very clear to me that the Obamacare fiasco is nothing more than a smokescreen to cover up the real issue. Be assured that most Americans do and will always support Israel.
We had the opportunity to visit Israel in September, 2008….an experience I will never forget. Part of my heart will always remain in Israel.
Our prayers are forever for God’s special country. We will never “lay down” for this wolf in sheep’s clothing!
    Keep us informed, Caroline, please!
    Sincerely,
    Susan Cosby
