The Israel Project was the brainchild of a lot of very wealthy Jewish philanthropists who decided rightly, that there was a pressing need for a professional operation in Washington capable of getting out the truth about Israel to a hostile media. Millions upon millions of dollars have been lavished on this project.
And what do we see from this?
According to a report in today’s Jerusalem Post, the Israel Project is joining forces with J Street to lobby Congress to continue to fund the Palestinian Authority even after it has abandoned the barest illusion of peacefulness by going to the UN to ask for statehood. The Palestinians want this recognition in order to escalate their diplomatic war against Israel. And the Israel Project is telling Congress that it must maintain the flow of taxpayer dollars to this enemy of Israel.
What a colossal waste of money -by pro-Israel donors and by US taxpayers. What a fraud.
